Złotoryja

Zlotoryja is a charming town in south-western Poland. Due to gold present in local streams, it’s also called “the Polish Klondike”. The mining traditions of the town are still continued. This is the place of the international competitions in gold washing.

Zlotoryja is often visited by tourists from all over the Europe. Despite its attractiveness, the town was lacking in natural accents in the centre. A huge advantage of Zlotoryja is the historic old market with the town hall that is on the list of the most crucial monuments of the National Institute of Heritage.

The models H750, H1200 and H2400 of Flower Towers appeared in the urban landscape of Zlotoryja, just like the hanging constructions W600, in 2013. The effect was extraordinary. The town square and its surroundings became beautiful. Some monuments also got a floral decoration.

The problem of Zlotoryja was the lack of nature in the central part of the town. In order to provide nature to the town square covered with the cobblestone, it was necessary to use Flower Towers. They occurred to be the perfect solution.

The historic old market of Zlotoryja has recently been renovated. After it, there was a time for green accents. The cobblestoned surface of the centre has perfectly matched stylish tenements but there was no place for nature.

Stylish but monotonous greyness of the old market required plants. Also many monuments in Zlotoryja needed to be decorated with flowers. It was a difficult task due to no access to the natural ground and water,

solution

In order to improve the aesthetics of the old town in Zlotoryja, the municipal authorities have chosen Flower Towers in different sizes. They have been located in strategic places in the centre. Colourful flowers have created a contrast to the cobblestone. The floral decorations have also appeared on the street lamps and barriers.

Along with the municipal authorities of Zlotoryja, we’ve been able to change the image of the town square. Despite the lack of natural ground, the town square has become truly green.

I’m satisfied with the effect. We managed to change the image of the old part of our town and provide colour and nature into it. I think it’s worth to invest in such solutions.
